Divas of colour International women’s award is the largest gathering of world’s most powerful women of colour. A special day to celebrate, recognise and reward the best of women of colour from around the globe.  The second edition was held on Saturday 21st of March 2015. The day unleashed a glorious night of luxury entertainment, fashion and awards ceremony. Bringing together high profile and prominent women, Hollywood star Winston Ellis and Nollywood stars , HRH Theodora Ibekwe Oyebade , Rita Nzelu and a host of many others.  17 women went home with a diamond  shaped glittering awards as  tears of joy and excitement run .

imageMBW with Divas of colour international women’s day is raising fund and awareness against depression for Depression Alliance UK. Every year, millions of women will lose their lives, kill their babies, and or lose their jobs due to depression. Divas of colour are raising awareness and educating women on the need to speak out and find help on time. It’s not your fault and it’s not a curse. Reach out to a friend , ask them how the are. Divas of colour 2015 flyer nominationsDivas of colour 2015 sponsored by Fashion fair UK is the largest gathering of world’s most powerful women of colour from around the globe. The event which is a special day set aside to celebrate, recognise, reward and discover the best of women of colour , brings together high flying women, dignitaries, and achieving women of colour.  The event is made of two major sections day and night.

The day is a free entry tradeshow and exhibition of brands from cosmetics to fashion , home and lifestyle products .  Expected to attend the 2015 tradeshow is over 1000 strong and well to do buyers from all over the world. With over 30 brands represented, it has promised to be buys day to discover great products for women and the household.  The organisers are calling brands and businesses to register now to secure their stall for an opportunity to tap into the enthusiasm.

Night section : Includes, Diva Designer fashion show – calling all female designers and male designers who design for women to register now to participate. In the section also includes, pageant to find the diva face of colour of the year with lots of amazing prizes to be won, including face of Fashion Fair UK social media, covergirl for C. Hub magazine, Fotoreel magazine and Black and Bold Magazine, plus a cash prize to be won. Women from the age of 14 and upwards can enter. This competition is open to any woman regardless of race or religion, as long as you feel you can pull it off. You do not have to be a pro model to enter too.  The award ceremony also with a keynote speech on Depression and Mental Illness, fundraiser for the chosen charity – Depression Alliance UK.  Nominations for the awards are now open .
