Divas of colour International women’s award is the largest gathering of world’s most powerful women of colour. A special day to celebrate, recognise and reward the best of women of colour from around the globe.  The second edition was held on Saturday 21st of March 2015. The day unleashed a glorious night of luxury entertainment, fashion and awards ceremony. Bringing together high profile and prominent women, Hollywood star Winston Ellis and Nollywood stars , HRH Theodora Ibekwe Oyebade , Rita Nzelu and a host of many others.  17 women went home with a diamond  shaped glittering awards as  tears of joy and excitement run .

Divas of colour 2015 flyer nominationsDivas of colour 2015 sponsored by Fashion fair UK is the largest gathering of world’s most powerful women of colour from around the globe. The event which is a special day set aside to celebrate, recognise, reward and discover the best of women of colour , brings together high flying women, dignitaries, and achieving women of colour.  The event is made of two major sections day and night.

The day is a free entry tradeshow and exhibition of brands from cosmetics to fashion , home and lifestyle products .  Expected to attend the 2015 tradeshow is over 1000 strong and well to do buyers from all over the world. With over 30 brands represented, it has promised to be buys day to discover great products for women and the household.  The organisers are calling brands and businesses to register now to secure their stall for an opportunity to tap into the enthusiasm.

Night section : Includes, Diva Designer fashion show – calling all female designers and male designers who design for women to register now to participate. In the section also includes, pageant to find the diva face of colour of the year with lots of amazing prizes to be won, including face of Fashion Fair UK social media, covergirl for C. Hub magazine, Fotoreel magazine and Black and Bold Magazine, plus a cash prize to be won. Women from the age of 14 and upwards can enter. This competition is open to any woman regardless of race or religion, as long as you feel you can pull it off. You do not have to be a pro model to enter too.  The award ceremony also with a keynote speech on Depression and Mental Illness, fundraiser for the chosen charity – Depression Alliance UK.  Nominations for the awards are now open . C.hub magazine as the first and only Afro caribbean creative magazine continues to create epic issues after issues. On this 3rd issue “Africa through the screen” we have tried to compare all that has been said of Africa in the media and charity campaigns with what’s on ground. we spoke to actors and best of African movie industry – T.Chidi Chikere, Obi Emelonye and the rest. Radi Aid also tells of how they are challenging the poverty porn on the African child.

Henriette official pictureMiss Humanity International is an innovative pageant open to young ladies aged between 18-27 years old that have a strong passion for community and humanitarian service. Every year, the organizers desire delegates to support charities that work to advocate against Child Labour, HIV/AIDS Discrimination, Genocide, Sexual Exploitation, Human Trafficking, Hunger, Lack of Access to Pure Drinking Water, Discrimination, Poverty and more. All candidates are expected to engage themselves in various social activities with businesses and governments to benefit all of humankind through charitable causes.

She has chosen this particular forum as an opportunity to advocate her Environmental Protection and Poverty Alleviation Project. Sharing her views with the organisers of the pageant a few ways on how Africa could beat poverty and what she has been doing .Henriette White and black photo

“As a student pursuing a Master of Science Degree, I see myself as a future Ecologist Engineer. I have
promoted this vision of mine in many ways, so far. I was a volunteer at ‘Green vegetal grows Red’
program for reforesting in Chingqing (representing Southwest University in 2011). The next year, I
volunteered with a Cotton production company for a half year in Beibei… Being a part of these
projects has been a blessing because I have had the chance to discover so much more and to be
supervised by distinguished professors in the research for restoring Qinghai/China Ecosystem and
many others at China Institute of Research and Geo Science. Once my research will be done, I will
then proudly execute a project to submit to the United Nations that will benefit countries affected by
Global warming.”
